Firestick – Jailbreak Firestick (March 2025)

> Firestick – Jailbreak Firestick (March 2025)

Step 1: Get the Downloader App (Because Apparently, Amazon Doesn’t Believe in Variety)

You’re going to need an app called Downloader to grab apps that Amazon hasn’t blessed with a place in their store. Here’s how to install it:

  • Go to your Firestick home screen, look for the “Find” option, and click on it like the treasure hunter you are.
  • Then click on Search. Yeah, it’s not exciting, but necessary.
  • Start typing “Downloader” using your remote, and once the Firestick tries to guess what you’re looking for (because it’s a psychic), just tap on the suggestion and save yourself some typing.
  • Once you see “Downloader” in orange, you’re golden. Click on it.
  • Tap “Get” or “Download” and wait for it to install. Thrilling stuff, I know.
  • When it’s done, click Open and let it do its thing. If it asks for file access, just say yes—it’s harmless.

Step 2: Activate Developer Options (No, You’re Not Really a Developer Either)

Now that you have Downloader, your Firestick still won’t let you install things just yet. Nope, Amazon insists on more hoops. Here’s how to jump through them:

  • Go back to the Home Screen, then click on the Settings gear icon. We’re diving into the hidden depths of your Firestick now.
  • Scroll down and select My Fire TV.
  • Then choose Developer Options. But wait—if you don’t see Developer Options (because why would Amazon make this easy?), don’t panic. Click on About.
  • Highlight your Firestick name, then press your remote’s select button seven times. Yes, seven. It’s Amazon’s version of a secret handshake.
  • After the seventh press, you’ll see a message telling you you’re already a developer. No, you’re not, but play along.
  • Now go back and Developer Options will magically appear. You’re welcome.
  • Choose Install Unknown Apps and turn it on for ‘Downloader‘. Now, you’re ready for the fun stuff.

Step 3: Side-Load Apps Like a Pro (Okay, a Semi-Pro)

Now that you’ve wrestled your Firestick into submission, you can use Downloader to, well, download things! And yes, they can be apps that Amazon doesn’t want you to have. Here’s how:

  • Open Downloader and type these magical letters: unlinked.link. Then hit Go.
  • You’ll land on a unlinked.linkdownloads‘ page. Exciting, right?
  • Using your remote scroll down until you see the ‘Download Android APK‘ button
  • Click the ‘Download Android APK‘ button on your remote.
  • When the install is Finished, a popup will appear – do not click Open – instead click ‘Done
  • A new popup will appear – on this popup – click Delete. It will delete that worthless install file.

Step 4: Load Some Stores In Unlinked

Now that you have ‘Unlinked.Link‘ – We need to load some stores so that we can download all the apps.

  • Open Unlinked.Link
  • A popup box should appear that allows you to type in it
  • The first store I recommend is: EMDYOUTUBE (this has to be exact)
  • The second store I recommend is: FireTVSticks (again this has to be exact)

With just those 2 ‘stores‘ – you can find literally everything you need. A lot of the ‘stores‘ will contain the exact same apps as the last store. I wouldn’t overload it, personally. Not to mention I have a guided
walk-through for the AppTree. Those 2 ‘stores’ + The AppTree. You’re in most excellent standings with those.
